Project T.E.A.C.H
In line with SNMA’s promotion of mentorship, Project TEACH allows our student members to serve as tutors and mentors for local high school students.
Student Sight Savers
Under the guidance of Wake Forest Ophthamology attending Dr. Bond, our chapter provides glaucoma screenings at various locations in the greater Winston-Salem community.
Partnership with the Sickle Cell Disease Association of the Piedmont
In the past, our partnership has allowed students to participate in a Adolescent Support group for children living with sickle cell disease. Additionally, the chapter helps organize a annual holiday party for the children and their families.
DEAC Clinic
Many of our members hold leadership positions and regularly volunteer at Wake Forest University’s student run clinic.
OTHER ANNUAL EVENTS
Pre-Medical Conference
Undergraduate students from Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem State University, and other area schools recieve various tools to aid them in the medical school application process and in their future healthcare careers.
Medical Excellence Banquet
Our semi-formal annual banquet honors graduating students and alumni making a difference in their communities.
Second Look Weekend
Prospective Wake Forest medical students have an opportunity to gain more exposure to the school, the students, and the Winston-Salem area. The weekend includes a school and city tour, panel discussion, and the annual Medical Excellence Banquet.
